A set of six musical tones marketed as an ancient sacred tuning, and the claim that 432 Hz is the true natural pitch of music.

SignificanceFor their followers, these tones restore a lost sacred harmony: each Solfeggio frequency carries a healing work — 528 Hz, the 'love frequency', is said to repair DNA — and music tuned to 432 Hz is heard as vibrating in step with nature, the body and the cosmos.

The FindingThe six frequencies were derived by numerology from a Bible verse in a single 1999 book, with no source predating it.

Who they wereShe understood herself as an instrument of spiritual guides, the High Masters, who commissioned her temple paintings as a map of the soul's evolution — the reunion of opposites, male and female, spirit and matter, into a single whole.

The FindingHer abstract work predates the artist usually credited as its pioneer by several years, yet she deliberately barred public exhibition of it for twenty years after her death — the standard art history timeline and the actual dated record genuinely disagree, and her work was only shown to the public starting in 1986.
