Neo-Tantra

Classical Sanskrit tantric texts are overwhelmingly concerned with ritual, cosmology and liberation, not sexual technique. The specifically sexualised Western version traces to a named American organisation founded in 1905 and was later massively popularised by an Indian guru's ashram teaching from the mid-1970s onward.
