The Near-Death Experience
The term itself is recent: Raymond Moody coined it in 1975. A 2014 clinical study of cardiac arrest survivors, the largest of its kind, set out carefully what had and had not actually been verified about awareness during resuscitation — a rare case of the phenomenon meeting a controlled test.
