Where Your Treasure Is
Luke 12:34

Devotion shows in where money, time and energy actually go, not in what a person says they believe.
The passageThe order is the teaching. Treasure first, heart second — so the heart is treated as something that follows what you have already committed, not as the thing that decides it. Read strictly, the saying offers a method: move the treasure and the affection relocates.

The Good Shepherd
John 10:11-16
An intimate metaphor depicting Christ's sacrificial love, guidance, and protection for his followers.
The passageEzekiel 34 is the background and it is an indictment: the shepherds of Israel have fed themselves and not the flock, so God says he will shepherd them himself. Read against it, the claim is not pastoral warmth but the assumption of an office declared vacant.

Luke 19:10

A clear statement of Jesus's redemptive mission to the marginalized and sinful.
The passageThe line is the conclusion of the Zacchaeus story, spoken about a collaborator with the occupation whom the crowd had just objected to. Luke gives the mission statement in a specific house, about a specific despised man, rather than as a general principle.
