Make your own wish to be treated well the standard for others — who may not want what you want.
Do to others as you would have them do to you. Often called the Golden Rule, this verse distills complex ethical codes into a simple, universally applicable maxim based on empathy. It demands that we project our own desires for respect, fairness, and kindness onto others, making self-interest the standard for our treatment of neighbors. It is a proactive command, requiring positive action rather than merely avoiding harm.
Light
A brilliant, intuitive framework for ethical living that transcends cultural and religious boundaries. It fosters empathy, compassion, and fairness in all human interactions.
Shadow
It assumes that others have the same needs and desires as we do. In highly diverse contexts, treating others exactly as we want to be treated might unintentionally ignore their unique cultural or personal preferences.
