To love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself.
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. Quoting the Jewish Shema, Jesus identifies this as the most important commandment. It demands a holistic, integrated devotion that encompasses emotion (heart), spirituality (soul), intellect (mind), and physical energy/action (strength). It asserts that true religion is not merely ritualistic, but an all-consuming orientation of the entire self toward the Divine.
Light
Provides a unifying, singular focus for spiritual life. It encourages a holistic development of the human person, integrating reason, emotion, and action in the pursuit of the divine.
Shadow
The demand for 'all' can lead to religious scrupulosity or burnout if interpreted as a demand for impossible perfection, potentially overshadowing the balancing commandment to love one's neighbor.
