A powerful assertion of Christ's power over death and the promise of eternal life to believers.
Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.' Spoken to Martha before raising Lazarus, this 'I AM' statement shifts the focus from a future event (the resurrection at the end of time) to the present reality of Christ's person. It claims that spiritual life and victory over death are inherently bound up in relationship with him, offering an immediate, transforming hope.
Light
Provides immense comfort in the face of grief and mortality. It offers a defiant hope that physical death is not the end, framing life as an eternal journey in communion with the Divine.

An intense focus on the afterlife can sometimes diminish the perceived value and urgency of addressing suffering and injustice in the present, material world.
