The Dendera Zodiac
Cut from the ceiling and shipped to Paris in 1821, it was seized on at the time as proof Egyptian civilisation was tens of thousands of years old. Its actual planetary alignment dates it to around 50 BCE, and Champollion's reading of the temple's own inscription confirmed it as Greco-Roman.
