Salt forms the third pillar of the alchemical Tria Prima. It represents the "Body," the principle of solidity, fixity, and materialization. Symbolized by a circle intersected by a horizontal line, Salt is the stable base in which Mercury (Spirit) and Sulfur (Soul) act. It is the ashes left after combustion, the incorruptible essence that remains. Salt represents grounding, structure, memory, and the physical vehicle necessary to anchor spiritual forces in the material world.
Light
Signifies grounding, physical health, enduring structure, preservation, practical wisdom, and the manifestation of spiritual goals into reality.
Shadow
Can represent stagnation, stubbornness, being overly tied to the material world, or a lack of spiritual and emotional fluidity.
