Reiki's Western Transmission
The earliest confirmed date for the system is 1922, not any ancient source. A Hawaiian-Japanese teacher brought it to the West starting in 1937 and personally trained every master who would go on to teach it there — the entire Western lineage, pricing structure and teaching format trace back to this one woman.
