Church of the Lukumi Babalu Aye v. City of Hialeah
Hialeah passed its ordinances in 1987 specifically to stop a Lucumí church opening in the city. The Court's unanimous 1993 ruling is the single strongest legal protection the Afro-Caribbean diaspora traditions have in US law.
