The Key of Solomon
No surviving manuscript predates the fifteenth century, and most are considerably later still. The influential 1889 English edition was compiled by its editor from several separate British Museum manuscripts, who has been shown to have silently removed operations he personally judged too harmful to publish — an editorial decision readers of that standard edition were never told about.
