He rejected the traditional twelve zodiac signs and the house system outright as unfounded, proposing instead a stripped-down astrology based purely on planetary angles grounded in harmonic mathematical ratios — a position quite unlike either the astrology modern practitioners actually use or the version modern sceptics typically imagine him to have held.
