Ambition becomes a trap of your own making — the load you carry is now the thing blocking your view.
Titled the Lord of Oppression, this card illustrates the final, most dense manifestation of the fiery suit (Malkuth). The figure struggles under the weight of ten heavy wands, his vision obscured by his own load. It represents the point where personal power and ambition become a trap of one’s own making. The initial spark of the Ace has culminated in a stifling accumulation of duties, indicating a desperate need for delegation, release, and a re-evaluation of one’s priorities.
Light
Recognize when you have taken on too much. It is time to delegate, release unnecessary burdens, and restructure your commitments before you collapse under the weight.
Shadow
Refusing to let go of control, leading to complete burnout. The crushing weight of responsibility may suffocate your creative fire and joy.
