The Monas Hieroglyphica is an enigmatic symbol designed by the Elizabethan mathematician, astrologer, and alchemist Dr. John Dee in 1564. It is a composite glyph that unifies the astrological symbols of the sun, moon, and primary planets, along with the element of fire. Dee believed this single, mathematically constructed glyph contained the secret blueprint of the cosmos, a unified theory of theology, astrology, and alchemy. It represents the mystical unity of all creation and the spiritual ascent of the soul back to the divine source.
