The Height of Strength
Strength at full extent, answerable to what is right; force used because it is there already overreaches.
Great Power sets Zhen, thunder, over Qian, heaven, so that thunder sounds in the heights: movement joined to the strongest of the trigrams. Four whole lines have risen from the bottom and only two broken lines remain above, which the tradition reads as strength near its full extent and therefore near the point where it can overreach itself. The Ten Wings hold that greatness and rightness are one thing here, and the Image has the superior man tread no path that is not in accord with established order. Power that has become mere force is already the beginning of a fall.
Light
Signifies strength at its height, movement backed by real capacity, resolve that carries an undertaking through, and power kept within the bounds of what is right.
Shadow
Can indicate force used because it is available rather than because it is just, headstrong advance, the ram that entangles its horns in the hedge, and strength that exhausts itself.
