The Four of Swords signifies a period of recuperation and mental rest. After the turmoil of the intellect, the mind must seek sanctuary in silence. The horizontal figure represents a cessation of struggle, a time to integrate experiences and gather strength. It is a necessary pause, a meditation that allows the scattered thoughts to settle and the inner vision to clarify before returning to the active world.
